Sparkling wine glasses are mostly tall and narrow. The optimum drinking temperature for sparkling wine and champagne is six to nine degrees Celsius. To ensure that the sparkling wine stays cool for a long time, champagne glasses also have a stem by which the glass can be held. This can be shorter or longer, more delicate or thicker.
Two glass shapes have become popular for enjoying sparkling wine: the champagne tulip and the champagne flute. The champagne tulip is a narrow tall glass that resembles the flower of the same name. Its opening tapers to a point at the top. In the champagne flute, the rim of the glass protrudes outward, making the glass resemble a goblet or trumpet. Both glass shapes ensure that the aromas are preserved for a long time and that the carbon dioxide is bundled.
Do you prefer elegant champagne glasses for exquisite enjoyment? Or do you need simple glasses for a large event or a standing reception? We offer a wide selection of champagne glasses that are guaranteed to fit your table culture.
To make the enjoyment of sparkling wine also a visual highlight, champagne glasses made of crystal glass are particularly suitable. The brilliant transparent glass reveals the sparkling drink and its rich color. But champagne glasses made of plastic can also be a real alternative if you want to serve your guests sparkling wine or prosecco in the wellness or pool area...
We recommend champagne tulips for serving your sparkling drinks. These days, however, the only use for expansive champagne bowls in the catering trade is for magnificent champagne pyramids or for cocktails. Their large base allows the aroma of the sparkling wine to dissipate too easily and warms it up too quickly.
